FAQ

Here are a few questions you might have about my blog:

Why are you writing a marriage blog?

As a student currently majoring in Marriage and Family Studies at Brigham Young University - Idaho,  I am being asked to keep up this blog as part of my course requirements.  Even though it's an "assignment" I still look forward to posting and sharing my thoughts with you and hope that you find something useful and uplifting here.

Are you an expert in marriage?

Um, no.  (Is anyone, really?)  I don't have any degrees or certification that qualify me as an "expert" in the field of marriage and/or family topics.  I'm just a regular person - wife, mom, and student - who is learning right along with you!

You post a lot about your church.  Is this blog officially approved by your church organization?

No, it's not.  I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and many of my views and opinions on marriage and family are influenced by my religious beliefs.  However, this blog is not affiliated in any way with the church, and none of the information found here should be taken as "official" church doctrine or viewpoints.

Did you really name your blog after a Tears For Fears song?

Yes.  Yes I did.

How often do you post here?

I plan to post about once a week, per my assignment requirements.  But I'll also check in from time to time to read your comments and update the blog.

Why should I read this non-expert, school assignment blog, anyway?

It's my hope that the things shared here will be universally uplifting and educating.  Whether you are a student of marriage and the family, or are simply interested in learning what makes good marriages work, I hope you will be able to find something here that is useful and that you will walk away feeling informed, strengthened and encouraged in your own marriage and/or family relationships.

Thanks for stopping by!
